He walked up to him and asked him for money and didn't even know who he was talking to. It's a sad thing to see an old friend in that state but that's the power the drug has.

The symptoms of crack cocaine are mind boggling and fatal. They can cause nose bleeds, chest pains, heart attacks, strokes, brain damage, risk of respiratory arrest, paranoia, violent behavior, increased blood pressure, tremors, twitches. They can also completely alter your appearance; as is the case with my dads friends. He's hardly recognizable anymore from his original self.
